Prison Architect 2 has been postponed again. This time for September 2024!
The development team has once again addressed all fans with a postponement to Prison Architect 2.
The game was therefore postponed from May to September 2024. Prison Architect 2 will therefore only be released on September 3rd.

“We recently ran some stability tests on our latest version of the game and discovered that unexpected issues are occurring too frequently, especially on configurations with low technical specifications.”
“After identifying the issue, we began working on improving Prison Architect 2’s memory usage to mitigate the situation. Overall, the work was successful and we saw improvements on lower spec computers and consoles. Unfortunately, this revision also introduced some new technical challenges, as the number of crashes on other PC configurations increased significantly. We immediately began fixing these issues. However, this cost us time in the final stages of development as we had to shift our resources from optimizing the game to fixing the crashes.”
“Although we already have a version of the game certified for all platforms and ready for release, this new memory management system will significantly improve the gaming experience. Given the great legacy of Prison Architect and the passionate community behind it, we want to release the best possible sequel to such a beloved game and not cut corners.”
