The Escape from Tarkov community has yet to receive the news that a brand new, most expensive version will replace the old version and ban them from previously promised DLC.
While Escape from Tarkov has been hailed as one of the best online FPS games on the market and the king of the “escape” sub-genre over the past few years, Escape from Tarkov’s pricing and pay The way upgrades are done is always questionable. According to developer Battlestate Games, the Unheard Edition gives players “the ability to enter PvE co-op and progress…enhanced locker sizes (10×72), unique in-game IDs, armbands, and more.” According to us As you know, this new co-op mode is different from the “Practice” mode, which is already available as an upgrade for around 10 Euros or $10.70 USD (regional prices may vary).
If we look at the main Buy page, the previous Edge of Darkness edition (the most expensive one) is now gone and has been replaced by the aforementioned Unheard edition, which costs $250, or about $267.90.Of course, there are cheaper ways to get the game with fewer upgrades, but the main issue here is Edge of Darkness Edition owners have been told they will receive all future DLC for free. As of this writing, EoD players will apparently have to pay $100 (as an upgrade) to gain access to the new Unheard perk and enter co-op PvE mode.

The only fact that Battlestate is selling an overpriced PvP version of the game feels like a huge upgrade, especially early in the game, has always been concerning, but this takes things to a whole new level.
Battlestate has yet to make an official statement or begin answering players’ most pressing questions, so we’ll keep an eye on the situation and come back with updates if necessary.
