Ubisoft seems to have put a lot of effort into Star Wars Outlaws and brought in a lot of ideas to further enrich the already deep universe of the films.
As part of the development of Star Wars Outlaws, the creators of Massive Entertainment continue to reveal details of the complex world in which the player will develop. Among the most notable new features is the Ashiga Clan, a criminal organization reinvented for the game that promises to be a fascinating addition to the Star Wars mythology. This is what you can learn from an interview GameInformer
Star Wars Outlaws enriches the Star Wars universe
Founded on the planet Kijimi and previously explored in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the Ashiga Clan is notable for its unique structure and rich history. Described as an anthill of sorts by John Björling, the project’s deputy narrative director, this crime syndicate focuses on the Melitto, a species introduced in The Force Awakens. These insectoid creatures prioritize the needs of the group over individual desires and follow a rigid hierarchy led by their leader named Ashiga.
According to Björling, the clan is at a critical point in its history and is facing internal disagreements about its future direction. This dynamic adds an additional layer of complexity to their already unique functioning, which is inspired by the collective life of ants. Star Wars Outlaws promises to introduce a new and profound facet to the expanded Star Wars universe by combining space exploration, reputation system and activities in a dynamic open world. This new title, coming August 30th on PS5, Xbox Series
With the introduction of factions like the Ashiga Clan, Star Wars Outlaws should provide a rich and immersive experience. At the same time, we provide details on elements we saw in the films. This is a very good thing for the expanded Star Wars universe and for player immersion.
