In recent months, there has been an explosion of utilities related to new language models and image creation algorithms that use artificial intelligence to create and edit all types of creations. One of the last to announce its improvements in this area was Adobe, which presented Firefly 3, the new update of its AI tool, also integrated into Photoshop.
But not all tools are created by large companies, and sometimes there are more modest offerings that can be very useful. A good example is the Web IDM-VTON, which allows any two images to be used to simulate that a person is wearing a specific item of clothing
This portal is free to access, although depending on the demand generated, the system’s CPUs and GPUs may make us wait a bit. In addition, the operation is extremely simple and in less than half a minute we can have our creations.
Testing clothes with AI
The website is designed by Hugging Face, an American company that develops applications using machine learning. One of these applications is IDM-VTON, which is a web interface in which a photo of a person and a photo of a piece of clothing are uploaded and, thanks to AI, a new image of this first person with the selected garment is generated.
Additionally, the system allows you to change the editing area in which the AI operates, in case the system has skipped an area or the final result is not as good as we would like. The website itself has several images of models and clothing to play with, but You can download photos from other sources.
To do this, simply click on the upload icon, with an arrow pointing upwards, and select the desired image of yourself or the person on the left side of the site. On the right side we do the same with the garment in question which has been chosen. Down there is a button with the text Try On to press.
All you have to do is wait about 30 seconds. How long does it take for the system to generate the new image. There is a text box below the second uploaded image, which allows you to refine the order to have an image with a specific modification, such as the color of the garment.
