Marvel Rivals was announced last month and took the opportunity to hint in advance that it would soon be free-to-play. It’s now officially confirmed and coming soon… but not for everyone.
Marvel Rivals, a new 6v6 hero shooter featuring MCU superheroes/villains, will actually be eligible for a closed alpha only on PC in a few days. Unfortunately, NetEase has chosen to offer an alpha that lives up to its name. Not only will it welcome a few players, but it will also be limited to a very targeted audience…
Marvel Rivals soon in a very closed alpha
A closed alpha for Marvel Rivals will take place from May 10th to 20th. However, it is not necessary to specify the times in France or even in Europe and Asia in general, as they are not affected by this VERY closed alpha. In fact, only 30,000 participants will be welcome and… only in the United States and Canada. Marvel fans in the rest of the world must therefore wait cautiously. Unless you use some form of artifice to pretend that you are a resident of the above regions.
Regardless, you can try out three game modes in the Marvel Rivals closed alpha: Convoy, Domination and Convergence. Overwatch regulars should already have an idea of what these names mean. There are also three maps on the program: the road to Yggdrassil, the royal palace of Yggsgard and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya. 19 heroes will be playable as listed below:
- Black Panther
- Doctor Strange
- Large
