Recently, there has been a lot of speculation that the classic survival horror series Silent Hill could make a comeback. Now Konami has commented on these speculations for the first time.

Is Silent Hill really coming back? Recently there was all kinds of speculation and supposed leaks around the franchise. Rumor has it that a restart of the Kojima project Silent Hills was just as read as a soft reboot of the original Silent Hill and a new episode title. The mass of leaks on the net actually only allowed one conclusion: Silent Hill is really making a comeback. But Konami itself is now crashing the party very violently.
A PR spokesman for the Konami office in North America has now completely denied all recent speculations about a return from Silent Hill. The speculations are simply "not true".
Across from Rely on horror the spokesman says: "We are aware of all the rumors and reports, but we can confirm that they are simply not true. I know that this is not the answer fans want to hear."
Is the door to a return from Silent Hill closed? Not quite as the spokesman admits: "This does not mean that we will completely close the door to the franchise, but it is not as reported." So it remains exciting with regard to Silent Hill. We'll keep you up to date!
