In recent years, Samsung has launched a new generation of its smart watch mid-year, accompanying the launch of its new foldable smartphones. In 2023, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic arrived, but this year the next generation of Samsung smartwatches could include three models distinct.
For a few months, we have been hearing rumors about a possible more advanced model of the Galaxy Watch 7 generation, as well as a cheaper model. NOW, Samsung confirmed one of these rumorsannouncing that they will launch a new premium model of their smartwatch.
The Galaxy Watch 7 will have a “Pro” model and possibly a “FE” model as well
Samsung, in its latest financial results report, confirmed the launch of a more advanced model within the Galaxy Watch 7 family. It may be a more advanced model. Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, although some think it could be called Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra. This model will include a much larger battery and other features superior to the rest of the family.
According to Samsung’s financial report for the first quarter of 2024:
“In the case of smart watches, our mobile technology division will strive to meet the demand for more advanced devices, including by launching new high-end models.”
When talking about new models, you could be referring to the fact that the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro would arrive in two sizes, something we usually expect with every Samsung smartwatch model. The company’s last smartwatch with the “Pro” surname was the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which also had a larger battery. However, that was the only difference from the standard Galaxy Watch 5. In the case of the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, it should have other features that differentiate it from the rest of the models.
Other rumors also raise the possibility that Samsung will launch a Galaxy Watch 7 FEthat is, a cheaper model of the company’s next generation of smartwatches, which could be an improved version of the Galaxy Watch 4.
For the rest, the company is working to bring innovative functions to its wearables, such as the possibility of measuring blood sugar, beating Apple in the race to include this function. Samsung is expected to introduce its new smartwatches and foldable phones this July.
