All Marvel fans are looking forward to the new adventures of Deadpool & Wolverine. The film, whose trailer left us ecstatic and doing cartwheels with excitement, will be released on July 25, 2024. That means we still have a little bit to wait for… although that doesn’t mean we should do it with our arms crossed.
Comics are an inexhaustible source of stories. If you can’t wait to see Deadpool and Wolverine
The comic has a hilarious moment whose protagonist, needless to say, is Deadpool. Without going into spoilers, it turns out that Wolverine is hunting a mutant/superpowered killer in Vancouver. The police give him strict orders to kill him, so Logan is completely unleashed. And Deadpool has nothing else to do but burst into the middle of the fight with a lack of respect as subtle as it is well-spun with the Marvel universe.
Deadpool refers to Wolverine as Wildside (the Rob Liefeld and New Mutants #86) and vez the Wolverine, as ScreenRant indicates, and apologizes for any more fussing. It’s not a mistake in the comic, but a reference in the form of a convoluted put-down. This is a lesser-known Marvel character and clearly inspired by Logan, which was considered a (bad) copy by some fans. He is an ex-terrorist who was part of the Weapon X Project… the same ones who kidnapped, tortured and experimented on Logan. The lack of respect is maximum.
