A popular Xiaomi cell phone is being launched with a new design. But what was the manufacturer thinking? Because this variant simply appears two years too late.

While football fans in this country are looking forward to the 2024 European Championship, Xiaomi’s marketing department is apparently still in World Cup fever, because there is no other explanation for this advertising campaign.
To celebrate that Xiaomi has been active in India for 10 years, the Chinese manufacturer is releasing the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in one World Champions Edition. This pays homage to the current soccer world champion Argentina, whose title win was almost two years ago. Why Xiaomi is advertising in India of all places with a cell phone in the design of the Argentina national football team jersey remains a mystery.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ appears in World Champions Edition
After all, the Copa América also takes place in the summer parallel to the European Football Championship. Here too, Argentina is the defending champion, which at least gives the launch of the edition a touch of topicality.
The World Champions Edition of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ only differs visually from the regular model. Part of the back is designed like the jersey of the Argentine national team, there is a special wallpaper that shows popular players and the accessories such as charging cables and SIM tools were also designed in the look of the Argentine national team.
It remains to be seen whether the World Champions Edition of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will also be released in other countries. In India it costs the equivalent of around 390 dollars.
