Samsung releases many new products each year, but the biggest consumer launches tend to have a dedicated event.
We’ve already had one for the Galaxy S24 series in 2024, and it looks like another one is on the way.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event and what could be announced there.
When does Samsung usually hold events?
Samsung is known for its big new product unveils, often during high-profile Galaxy Unpacked events.
These usually happen a few times a year, with high-end smartphones, tablets and smartwatches the order of the day.
Historically, Samsung has followed a regular schedule, with Unpacked events taking place at two key times of the year.
- January/February: typically, Galaxy S smartphones and Galaxy Tab S tablets
- July/August: Typically Galaxy Z foldables and Galaxy Watch smartwatches
However, the Galaxy Tab S9 series was revealed at last year’s summer event, rather than at the start of the year like the Tab S8 series in 2023, so it’s not ‘a fixed model.
When will the next Samsung event take place?
According to SamMobile, a Samsung-focused tech site, the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 10, 2024.
Although the site claims the date is “confirmed,” Samsung has not publicly confirmed anything at this point.
However, it seems very likely that we will see an event around this time, even if it is not on this specific date.
What will Samsung announce at its next event?
Samsung’s next event has not yet been confirmed by the company, so we have no official information on what might be announced.
However, rumors and leaks have been circulating for a while now, hinting at what could happen.
Galaxy Z Fold 6
There are plenty of indications that Samsung is poised to shake up the foldable phone market with the new Galaxy Z series phones.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be available in two versions for the first time, with a standard model being joined by the all-new Ultra.

Rumors suggest there could be a new slimmer design and potential improvements to the cover screen, but it’s unclear how the standard and Ultra models will differ.
Galaxy Z Flip 6
On the other hand, we don’t expect the Galaxy Z Flip 6 to bring any major changes compared to its predecessor.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 introduced several design changes, notably with the new hinge mechanism and a larger screen cover, so Samsung is expected to only make small changes this time around.
Galaxy Watch 7
In addition to foldable phones, new Samsung smartwatch models are expected to be launched.
And this time, rumors suggest that there could be three Galaxy Watch 7 models: standard, Pro and Ultra. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic probably won’t be the last Classic model, with Samsung still appearing to take it between itself and Pro.

The most interesting rumor so far is that Samsung might return to a square screen on one or more models, but that might not come to fruition. We might also have the ability to monitor blood sugar levels.
Galaxy Tab S10
Samsung launched its Tab S9 range in early 2023, so an update is overdue.

Look again for three Galaxy Tab S10 models – standard, Plus and Ultra – corresponding to the Galaxy S smartphones. However, aside from the new processors, it’s unclear what exactly they will bring at this point.
Galaxy Ring
In addition, we are awaiting the launch of a new product in the Samsung range: the Galaxy Ring.

Although its existence has already been confirmed, details are scarce, but the smart ring is rumored to come in nine sizes and three colors. Sensors such as heart rate, blood oxygen and even blood sugar monitoring could all be included.
Galaxy Buds 3
The least expected, but still quite probable, is also the release of one or more pairs of Galaxy Buds 3 headphones.
That’s all we know at this point about upcoming Samsung events and devices that could be revealed.
