Starfield and its first DLC “Shattered Space” were actually supposed to be an important part of the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, but the release date and part of the synopsis were already fixed in advance.
All we knew so far was that Starfield’s first expansion would be released this fall. We also had no idea about his history or his problems. However, this has changed after Bethesda recently released a trailer.
The Starfield rocket restarts its engines for the DLC
After long months of making various fixes, Starfield is finally stepping up a gear. Todd Howard promised it, and this time it’s been confirmed with the big patch expected in May. In particular, this will finally add many elements that are highly desired by players, such as a performance mode on the Xbox Series or even land vehicles. Bethesda’s new game appears to be in the firing line to receive its DLC, which is currently being announced in the fall.
But the announcement of the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9 was, according to some reports, an opportunity to set the release date in advance. According to The Verge’s knowledgeable Tom Warren, the first Starfield expansion, called Shattered Space, will be released in September. This is about a year after the release of the original game. And the video highlighting the famous May patch would have told the story of what Bethesda has prepared for us in this new intergalactic adventure.
The serpentine loop is closed
While we’ll have to wait until the Xbox conference on June 9 to find out more, we at least know that Starfield’s first expansion will focus on a specific faction. In the trailer above we see lines of code at one point. If we look closer, we can see that one word appears several times: Va’ruun. Shattered Space should therefore further explore the mystery surrounding this religious faction that worships the Great Serpent.
However, we’ll have to wait until June 9th to find out for sure. In any case, let’s remember that this first expansion of Starfield will of course pay off. The price and lifespan are not yet known to determine if the game is worth it. These unknowns will find the beginning of an answer in a short month.
