We are only a few weeks away from the release of the turn-based tactical superhero game Capes on May 29 and today publisher Daedalic Entertainment gave us the first idea of what things will look like on the Switch.
Capes is an XCOM-meets-superheroes tactical game in the style of Midnight Suns (although this want coming to Switch) where you’ll have to build a team of heroes, train them and put them to the test in a series of turn-based battles.
The trailer above serves as a nice introduction to the game’s story — superheroes battling a corrupt organization bent on eradicating them — but we’re most interested in the following screenshots, which give us a peek at how things will play out for the Nintendo hybrid stack.
The answer seems to be pretty much what you’d expect. You can get your first look at the new Switch footage below.
Character models and environments seem to lack the level of detail we’ve seen in previous Capes announcements, but that’s not really a surprise. However, recently published ‘Rebound‘ The introduction of the character gives us hope that each hero’s abilities will make them a joy to see on screen.
What do you think of these Capes Switch screenshots? Will you pick it up? Let us know in the comments.
