If you haven’t purchased all of Destiny 2’s expansions but would like to take a look at them, you now have the opportunity to do so temporarily for free.
As has now been officially announced, all Destiny 2 players can temporarily try out the various older expansions of the sci-fi game for free and therefore without risk. The new promotion runs from now until just under a month until June 3, 2024 and includes the add-ons “Fortress of Shadows”, “Beyond the Light” and “The Witch Queen”.
PlayStation Plus members also get access to the latest expansion, Lightfall. Overall, in the add-ons you can use the darkness foci Stasis and Strang, take part in three additional raids that are released during the campaigns, unlock new exotic weapons and equipment and of course much more.
In addition to the expansions, Year 6 seasonal content will also be available to all players through June 3, including Season of Resistance, Season of Depth, Season of the Witch, and Season of Wish. Anyone who plays through these expansions and seasons can keep the weapons and equipment they have earned even after the campaign has ended.
The campaign is accompanied by special offers in the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Epic Games Store. For example, the Lightfall + annual pass package is available at a discount. The campaign runs until June 3rd, after which the new add-on “The Final Form” starts on June 4th.
