The character Latena In Ancient Ring is an NPC with his own rather short quest.

Latinna location in Elden Ring
Before your first meeting with Latenna, you should go to the Albinaurics village in Liurnia and talk to Albus there.
The old man has taken the form of a pot and is sitting on the slope behind the Depraved Perfumer, on the right. Throw against the pot and Albus will give you the right side of the secret Haligtree medallion.
Albus mentions Latinna’s name for the first time and asks you to show him the locket.
Go to the Crystal Cave by the lake in Liurnia, go through it, defeat the Bloodhound Knight and you will reach the Sleeping Wolf’s Hut.
The cabin is Latinna’s home. At first she is dismissive, but when she is shown Albus’ locket, she becomes accommodating.
Latinna asks you to take her to the Haligtree. Accept this request and she will join you in the form of a spiritual summon, Latenna the Albinauric.
Important: If you progress too far in the game, Latenna will die and you will only find her Spirit Ashes at the cabin, meaning you will not be able to start or complete her questline. This can happen if you collect both halves of Haligtree’s Secret Medallion before speaking to Latenna.
How to complete the Latinna quest in Elden Ring
There’s not much to do in Latinna’s quest. After collecting the right half of the locket from Albus, Latenna will tell you that the left half is in Castle Sol.
Defeat Commander Niall, a not-so-easy boss, and you will find the left half of the medallion.
The assembled medallion will transport you to the Consecrated Snowfield on the Great Rold Lift (you must use the arrow keys on the platform to access the secret medallion).
On the Consecrated Snowfield, travel to the Apostate Derelict in the far northwest.
Be careful with the walking mausoleum on the way. Stand in front of the woman in the ruins behind the Site of Grace and you can summon Latinna.

Latinna’s quest is now complete.
