The community was amazed: Last Monday, the studio Supergiant Games released the roguelite action role-playing game Hades II into early access. This was preceded by only a short closed playtest; there was no announcement of the date or other advance warnings. But as the statistics can now be seen, the launch was a complete success.
They still exist, the small single-player games that seem to be financially worthwhile for the studios responsible. For example, Supergiant Games currently seems to be enjoying great success with the roguelite action role-playing game Hades II. Quite rightly so, as you can see from our article on Hades II.

In any case, the Steam version of the title from Supergiant Games seems to be more than well received. Since the start of early access on May 6, 2024, more than 100,000 players have been cavorting in the underworld almost constantly, trying to send Kronos to the eternal hunting grounds.
This number is already impressive in itself, but if we compare it with the first Hades, it stands out even more. As is well known, it was one of the big indie hits of recent years and enjoyed a huge fan base. Despite all the fans, the maximum number of simultaneous players here is “only” 40,000.
In times of tons of studio closures and flops, it’s definitely nice to see when a title that was developed with passion can still celebrate success.
In Hades II you slip into the skin of Melinoë. As with the first part, you fight your way through randomly generated dungeons and receive gifts from the gods that provide you with new skills. According to Supergiant Games, Hades II is already more extensive than its predecessor and will continue to be expanded.
