In the interview, Allan explains to us that she didn’t have to think twice before switching from fantasy to sci-fi. The actress playing the character Mae reveals that she didn’t hesitate for a second when she got the opportunity to be a part of Planet of the Apes:
If [das Angebot] landed in my inbox, I immediately realized what an incredible opportunity this was. But it still took a very long process until I got the role. My audition took place via Zoom [Noah-Darsteller] Owen Teague and [Regisseur] Wes [Ball] instead and I was immediately hooked. I knew I really wanted this role because I really wanted to work with them. I could tell right away that Wes would be a great director. […] From the beginning I didn’t hesitate at all.
