If you’re like me, you probably only started playing the first one Hades When it fully releases 1.0 in late 2020.I have actually seen it and generally know super giant game“Given the critical acclaim of games like Transistor, my first experience with a game from the studio was Hades. Like the rest of the world, I was instantly hooked – the sizzling god , tense rogue-lite combat, a killer soundtrack, an engaging narrative/gameplay loop, and did I mention some truly hot Gods? It has it all!
So, when Hades 2 When it was announced for 2022 and the Early Access release was recommitted, I found myself in a dilemma. You see, I’m not always a big fan of early access games. I totally get why they exist, it can be a great way to build an audience and also a great way to tinker with complex systems so that the wider player base doesn’t get stuck in a period that’s too easy or too difficult. But personally, I like to play the complete game so that I don’t lose focus on it and ultimately never go back to it. Hades is one of my favorite games, though, so when its sequel was unexpectedly released earlier this week, I didn’t know if I could resist the temptation of a sequel. Spoiler alert: I can’t.
Yeah, okay, okay, I gave in to my desires (don’t judge me) and ended up in hell again, so to speak. But there is a but. but! I would only play a little, get a taste of it, and that was enough to keep me going until Supergiant pulled it off. Sorry, please wait a moment, I hear something… “One more run…” Ah. ball. Okay, okay, one more! Then there is another one. And then, okay, you get it.
Of course, you may still be wondering whether you should pick it up yourself. Yes, it’s you! The one with the Thanatos pillow. You should definitely buy it, because Hades 2 is a very different place in Early Access than it was when the first game launched. There’s already too much to do, too many builds to develop, too many gods to crave – so far I’ve only encountered one character that had neither character art nor a 3D model, but in For the most part, Hades 2 feels fully featured.

First up is the main quest, in which Melinoe, a young descendant of Hades, is seeking to save her family, similar to the quest her brother Zagreus once set for himself. The sequel’s new scenes feel very different from the first, so I never felt like I was reliving familiar scenes. And if you’re feeling a little flirty, you can even invite certain companions to the bath, which may not go over well with those who are already so horny for these gods, they might die. Hell, even if you haven’t played the first one, nothing has happened so far that makes it necessary, so don’t let that hold you back either.
I honestly can’t believe how much more there is to do, especially considering it’s not even a complete version yet – somehow even more than when the original game was released. I didn’t even encounter any rough edges that I’d be hard-pressed to think of a flaw with. Honestly, the only reason you shouldn’t pick up Hades 2 right now is if you have too many other games to play, and considering how busy this year has been, I wouldn’t blame you. Beyond that, just get it and you won’t regret it, and you’ll even help Supergiant make it a better game than the first one.
