Last week on Steam initially looked disappointing, but then Hades 2 surprised us with its sudden early access launch.
This week, however, you don’t have to hope for any unexpected new releases, because we already know: The current week on Steam will be the best of the month and has three big games in its luggage!
The highlights of the week
Homeworld 3
18:38
Homeworld 3 – test video for the space strategy game
Genre: Strategy | developer: Blackbird Interactive | Release: 13. May (Steam)
Homeworld 3 is the latest chapter in the sci-fi real-time strategy series beloved by GameStar readers that you’ve been waiting 20 years for. The latest part offers you the well-known combination of strategic depth and spectacular space battles.
However, the comeback cannot fully meet the high expectations. You can find out what was still missing and whether Homeworld 3 might still be interesting for you in our test.
Ghost of Tsushima
12:18
Ghost of Tsushima – Testvideo zur Open World Samurai-Action
Genre: Action-Adventure | developer: Sucker Punch | Release: 16. May (Steam)
The Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima finally brings the acclaimed adventure of samurai Jin Sakai to PC. In the 13th century, the Mongols invaded the island of Tsushima, the last defense point before mainland Japan.
Your task is to be one of the last samurai to save your homeland and free your people from the Mongol hordes. But in order to succeed, you have to leave classic warfare behind you and become the titular ghost.
Notice: If you want to play online co-op, you also need a PSN account on the PC – a fact that already caused unprecedented review bombing for Helldivers 2.
Men of War 2
1:06
Men of War 2: There is new gameplay and an exciting announcement in the trailer
Genre: Strategy | developer: Best Way | Release: 15. May (Steam)
15 years after the first part, Men of War 2 catapults you back into the Second World War. There are a total of three campaigns to choose from: the Allied attack on Normandy, the defense of the Soviet Union and the retreat of the Wehrmacht.
