The Rogue Prince of Persia was originally supposed to be released this week, but as is well known, the developers decided to postpone the release at the last second. But now there is a new date on which the roguelite starts in Early Access.
The reason for the postponement of The Rogue Prince of Persia became more than understandable last week. No, they weren’t your mothers, or at least only some of them. Because in the statement from the development studio Evil Empire it said: “It’s been a crazy week for us! It started with the release of a little game called Hades 2 – you may have heard about it? When we saw that everyone and their mother was playing it (and our team and their mothers too), we decided to let people have fun before releasing The Rogue Prince of Persia.”

But now the game company has nailed it and, as promised, announced a new date for the start of early access. This is still in May, the developers also stated that. Accordingly, you will finally be able to jump into the randomly generated environments from May 27, 2024.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is priced at 19.99 dollars, and according to the tweet there may even be a small launch discount. By the way, Evil Empire states that the release is still not 100 percent certain – at least with a bit of a wink: “But if there’s a shadowdrop from Silksong in the next two weeks, we’ll burn the whole thing down.”
A fresh trailer was also released to coincide with the announcement of the new release date. This is accompanied by music from Asadi and it’s up to you to decide how well it fits the game itself.
