Check out another graphics comparison for Fallout 4 with next-gen Update 2.
Fallout 4 players received the second next-gen update for Fallout 4 earlier this week. It is primarily intended to fix errors in the graphics modes, some of which had no effect.
With the update, the experts at Digital Foundry once again subjected the role-playing game to a graphics comparison on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
And lo and behold: instead of an on/off option, there is now a clear definition in the settings with the option to choose between quality and performance. And there the game also works in performance mode with the standard settings or the ultra settings if quality is selected, as well as a dynamic resolution.
By comparing again, it can be seen that Fallout 4 often achieves a dynamic resolution in the range of 1872p on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in quality mode and 60 fps. 4K is also possible if the screen is less demanding.
If you choose 30 fps in quality mode, you will get a native 4K image with a little more sharpness. If the technical requirements of the screen are met, 40 fps is a good middle ground.
