Stardew Valley fans awaiting the arrival of version 1.6 on console platforms have received another update from creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone. Despite an initial launch on PC in March, Barone revealed that bringing the update to consoles involved “additional work beyond the PC version.” In his recent statement, Barone expressed his commitment to speeding up the process, acknowledging the anticipation among console and mobile players. He assured the players that he is making every effort to ensure the timely release of the update on various platforms.
While the PC version has already seen multiple patches, reaching version 1.6.6, Barone revealed ongoing work on another patch primarily focused on bug fixes. The upcoming update promises not only bug fixes, but also additional content, including new mine layouts, enhancing the gaming experience. Gamers can expect a host of new features such as visual enhancements, multiplayer functionality, and quality of life improvements after version 1.6 launches on Switch and other consoles.
