Grand Theft Auto VIRelease date, a never-ending source of speculation and hype, just got a little more precise. Take-Two announced in its latest earnings report that it expects the most anticipated sequel of all time to arrive in fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of the time window previously established by Rockstar Games from the 2025 calendar to the fall of the 2025 calendar Grand Theft Auto VI” the company wrote in its report. “We are very confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience and our expectations for the title’s commercial impact continue to grow.”

Rockstar Games has forced remote developers back into the office as the release date approaches and after a massive hack in 2022 that revealed early in-development footage from the blockbuster.
Rockstar Games has released the first trailer for GTA VI Late last year, it was confirmed that the game would be set in Florida and follow two protagonists, a man and a woman. Since then, fans have been flocking to the trailer and the alleged leaks for clues about what else will be in the game. It’s possible that Rockstar will reveal more about the open-world heist game at upcoming showcases. PlayStation is hosting an event later this month, followed by Xbox in June.
Or it could be that Rockstar will reveal more about the game in due course and much closer to release. Nothing any other gaming company could reveal at this point is likely to top it. Over 10 years later, Grand Theft Auto V And GTA Online are still among the most popular games. Unfortunately for PC gamers it seems GTA VI won’t appear on console until it debuts next year.
