“Return to Silent Hill” movie premiere

Hill, movie, premiere, Return, Silent

Remember the good Silent Hill adaptation directed by Christophe Gans and released in 2006? Well, the French director has been quietly working on a massive follow-up, which also happens to be a reboot. What’s the surprise? It is adapted from the plot of “Silent Hill 2”, which Bloober Team is also about to remake.

A big-screen return for the Silent Hill series only makes sense, as it remains one of the most influential and best horror game series of all time…until it stopped being good. While plans for Gans’ return to Silent Hill have been in the works for a few years, the arrival of his new film, which is currently being worked on to secure an in-house release (via Variety ), will likely coincide with the release of Silent Hill. The Hill 2 remake has been (so far) controversial.

As shown above, the first image seen is of the iconic Pyramid Head advancing towards the camera. That’s enough to get many fans excited, but we’re still waiting to see what James Sunderland (Jeremy Owen) will look like and do in this iteration of the critically acclaimed story. Hannah Emily Anderson plays Mary, and other actors include Evie Templeton, Howard Sadler, Eve Maclean and Robert Strange.

Here’s the official synopsis (which won’t surprise long-time fans of horror games): “When a letter comes from [Mary] incoming call [James] Returning to Silent Hill, he finds a once-recognizable town transformed by an unknown evil. As James desperately searches for Mary, he encounters terrifying creatures and begins to unravel the mystery of what happened to the town. But as he travels deeper into the darkness, the secrets he uncovers lead to a horrifying truth, and James finds himself struggling to hold on long enough to save his one true love. This take on this twisted tale could make the upcoming remake look either better or worse, but for now let’s hope it’s both At least enough.

After years of silence, Silent Hill is being revived by Konami in a variety of ways. The aforementioned Silent Hill 2 remake is getting the most attention right now, but Silent Hill F aims to reinvent the series, and we also recently received an unfortunate “live experience” in the form of Silent Hill: Ascension 》. As Konami continues to hire staff for larger projects, it looks like this is just the beginning of a new era for IP.
