Podcasts are all the rage. Today It's easy to set up a system at home and without knowledge in the field. Only the microphone, computer and server are required to store audios. And getting visibility is easier than ever because Sotify is investing to be the default app for them.
There are many platforms and integrators, such as Apple Podcasts, which a few months ago became a separate app for macOS. Other giants like Google are also seeking their place in the sector, themselves in 2018 launched Google Podcasts. Up to now it was only available on devices with the Android operating system, but can now be downloaded from the iPhone App Store.
Enter the Apple ecosystem with new features
Google puts all the meat in the grid with its Podcasts program. You're in a new design deal with competitors such as Apple Podcasts, Overcast or Spotify. The interface content, simple and clean, is distributed in three sections / buttons.
The first is home screen, where program news will appear to which we are subscribed. Secondly is the search for new content, and the third is a function, where we can manage playlists, audio history, downloads and subscriptions.
One of the content is Google Podcasts automatic download of new episodes of the programs we are subscribed to. Opportunities for informed users are also provided.
One of the points that Google Podcasts wants to highlight the power of its algorithm is to recommend content. In addition, the web version has also been updated to allow subscriptions and give consumers the option to sync the listening process between devices. While a new version of the platform is already available on iOS and the web, the Android version will arrive later this week. There is currently no iPad app.
