first trailer dead cells The animated series is here, and it looks like one of the most exciting video game adaptations yet.
I actually haven’t played that much of Dead Cells, and I know that for a lot of people it’s at the top of the pantheon of roguelike games, but you know, there’s a lot of them out there, so I should put it there Where is it? But earlier this week the first trailer for the animated adaptation of the beloved indie game Dead Cells Immortal was released, and I figured I had to make time to watch it. The trailer is short, only about a minute and a half, but packs a lot into the limited time. The first thing I want to point out is that, although it’s made by the same animation studio, Bobbypills, it’s a different art style than the one used in the game’s animated trailers.
You’ll have to read some subtitles, as the trailer is dubbed in French, but an English version is expected to be released later this year. The Dead Cells series is also set to launch next month, literally next month, on June 19, when it airs on the streaming service Animation Digital Network. To be clear, this is a French streaming service and there doesn’t seem to be any word about it being available elsewhere, so you may have to wait a while before you can check it out in other regions.

In the meantime, while you wait, you can look forward to another roguelike from Dead Cells co-developer Evil Empire, which just last month announced it was developing a Prince of Persia game. The roguelike version of the classic series was actually scheduled to release this week, but in a completely honest announcement, it was delayed due to the unexpected release of Hades 2 . Luckily, you won’t have to wait too long, as it will now be released on May 27, just over a week away.
