WandaVision was the first dedicated MCU series to appear on Disney Plus, and is arguably both the weirdest and most creative thing Marvel has ever worked on.
All nine episodes ended in 2021, but will the series be back for more? We’ve put together everything you need to know. We also have similar roundups for Loki and Hawkeye.
Will there be a season two of WandaVision?
WandaVision has no plans to be renewed for a second season. This was confirmed by director Matt Shakman in an interview with Collider, although he said it “could change” depending on the overall direction of the story.
That said, one of the characters will get a standalone series.
Vision will return in his own Disney+ series
Variety reports that Vision will return in his own standalone series, with Paul Bettany returning to the role and Terry Matalas named showrunner – he previously worked on Star Trek: Picard.
When should the Vision Disney+ series be released?

WandaVision Ending and Post-Credits Explained
Spoilers for the first season of WandaVision, Doctor Strange 2 and The Marvels below.
The final episode is set for several plot threads, but we’re most interested in what happened to Vision.
White Vision left the grid and we didn’t know where he went. However, he now holds the memories of the old Vision and is no longer a Terminator-esque bent on destruction.
Maybe he’s looking for a purpose, or even Wanda herself. If you’ve watched Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, you’ll know that he may not like what he finds.
Vision aside, the manipulated and distorted version of Westview is gone – along with Wanda’s fake Vision and the children apparently along with it. The only person still under the illusion is Agatha Harkness (AKA Agnes), who Wanda bewitched to remain the “nosy neighbor”, and who apparently stripped her of her power.
It makes sense that the show didn’t kill Agatha off completely. In the comics, the Witch is more of a mentor to Wanda – and by keeping her in Westview without her dangerous powers, people might come back to her for advice and information later.
The rest of Agatha’s story will most likely be explored in her series, Agatha All Along, which will be released later this fall.
The post-credits also gave us some big teasers, both of which are now resolved.
The first showed Monica Rambeau (AKA Photon) meeting a Skrull in Westview, who said there was someone in space who wanted to meet her. This was, of course, Nick Fury, who was teased to be out in the galaxy with Skrulls at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. We now know that this was a setup for The Marvels, which released last year.
The second reveal showed that Wanda has retreated far away to a cabin in the desert – but is also studying the Darkhold (The Book of the Damned). As she did so, she heard the voices of her children, Billy and Tommy. This implies that the two are somehow trapped somewhere – presumably in the multiverse.
This driving force led Wanda down a dark path in Doctor Strange 2, resulting in her death. However, now that we know Vision is back, there could be an opportunity to bring back the Scarlet Witch.
