Hello folks!
We are very pleased to say that our new Cassette beasts
The multiplayer update is now here!
This new update offers some cool new ways to play together with friends:
- Form a party of up to eight players, all visible in your world as you travel.
- Compete against your friends in 1v1 and even assign custom rules to your battle, such as enabling/disabling sticker attributes.
- Swap tapes with each other.
- Form a team for raid battles against Rogue Fusions.
Exciting, right? Let’s start!
Feeling lonely? Now you can bring your friends!
Eight players can connect via a shared code (even across different platforms) to play together in online mode as you all progress through the story Cassette beasts – even if you’re in completely different locations! You can track the progress of all players by watching them on the world map. You’ll even get progress notifications about how other players are doing and what milestones they’ve reached. What a perfect time to send them some cryptic emojis or knowing winks. If you get stuck on a section, your friends can track you down and help you progress. But don’t worry, even when connected, your game is safe from outside interference and won’t affect the story or cutscenes in the current game.
By simply locating your friends on the map, you can even send them direct invites to the next amazing features this huge update brings. So without further ado, let’s talk about Raids!
Now you can compete against Roaming Fusions with your friends! These are powerful beasts waiting to challenge your team in the open world of New Wirral. Only by teaming up with your fellow adventurers will you have a chance of defeating them. You’re probably wondering why you should risk life and limb for these titans of the beast kind. The reason for this is great rewards! Challenging and defeating these Rogue Fusions will earn you the new “Cyber Material”, which, after showing it to Captain Codey, will allow you to “hack” a Rogue Fusion and turn it into a pirated copy. If you’re looking for a specific pirated copy, there’s no better way to collect it than with the help of a friend!
Speaking of friends, it’s time to move on to 1v1 combat!
Do you constantly bet with your friends about who has the best Beast team? Now you can solve it with 1v1 battles in the game! Take on another and prove that your Beast besties have no place on your team!
Not only can you compete against your rivals, but you can also set custom rules to make things interesting. Right at the top of our domes, here are some ways to make battling your buds a little more challenging:
- levels: You can keep your current levels or temporarily set both players to level 50 or 100 to make the battle fair.
- merger: You can enable or disable Fusion for battle, as well as whether players can use Fusion Power (if they have unlocked it with their current partner).
- Sticker Attributes: You can enable or disable sticker attributes for a battle.
- Duplicate stickers: You can enable or disable the effects that occur when multiple versions of the same sticker are placed on a tape.
And as far as stickering goes, the next thing we need to tackle on our list is…trading!
Have you been drooling over your friend’s custom starter beast with the +1 slot, but haven’t found that sticker in your game yet? This is where trading comes into play. You can now trade beasts with your friends or even random players in Randomizer mode. If you connected via Online Play, you can select the player you want to trade with on the world map and ask them to trade beasts (including any stickers placed on the ribbons). Finally, no more beast envy when you can share your precious cassettes!
Well, you got it – experiment and see what fun limitations you can impose on yourself!
