“The Boys” showrunner Eric Kripke is excited about future casting, and he’s certainly interested in having “Supernatural” star Jared Padalecki appear in at least one One episode.
When you think of Jensen Ackles, you almost certainly think of his former Supernatural costar Jared Padalecki. They’d been on that show together for so long, it was hard not to, and Kripke seemed to have similar thoughts. The Boys showrunner recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his desire to bring Padalecki on board in some capacity, telling the outlet that “texts have been sent.” He said he felt “it would be a shame now not to have Jared on the show in some way, even if it was just for an episode. He’s been filming Walker, but with the show ending, maybe he There will be time to come and play with us, I will be happy, we have definitely discussed it.”

Kripke’s comments apparently came just days before news broke that the Padalecki-led show “Walker” had been canceled. As Kripke noted, with this cancellation, Padalecki will have more time on his hands, and conveniently, Amazon renewed The Boys for a fifth season just last week. In fact, the renewal comes a bit early, as Season 4 of the popular Prime Video series won’t debut on the service until June 13, a full month away, but when it does When it launches, there will be 3 full seasons. Padalecki’s joining the cast of The Boys, even if only for a short while, would obviously be a reunion for him and Ackles, as the latter played Soldier Boy in the comic book adaptation. On top of that, Kripke also created Supernatural, so it makes sense that he would invite Padalecki to join in some form. As for how it would happen, I’m sure Kripke has his own ideas, but in the meantime, if you’re interested, you’ll just have to keep your fingers crossed.
