The fourth season of The Boys is coming soon. Unfortunately, not all the news is good, especially if you’re an impatient viewer. That’s the least we can say.
The Boys series is so successful that it has the right to several spin-off ideas. In addition to Gen V, other projects are in the pipeline. Thanks to the indiscretions of the media, today we can finally find out some news EWalways well informed when it comes to this topic. What exactly can we learn? Not necessarily good news. Alas.
The boys have bad news
In fact, the Mexican spin-off of the hit series The Boys will not be available on Prime Video anytime soon. Eric Kripke, the franchise’s showrunner, revealed that the project is far from complete. Despite the enthusiasm of fans, many aspects of the series are still in development. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kripke stated that the team is currently working on the script for the pilot. Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, who are involved in the project as executive producers, are actively participating in the discussions. Screenwriter Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, known for his work on DC’s Blue Beetle, is in charge of writing this new series.
One of the biggest challenges for The Boys: Mexico is making sure the spin-off can stand on its own without viewers having to know in detail about the original series or its other spin-offs, emphasizes Gen V. Kripke We don’t want viewers to feel like they have to watch every series in The Boys universe to understand the new spin-off, as that could be seen as restrictive.
In addition to their role as executive producers, Bernal and Luna could also appear in supporting roles, but this has not yet been confirmed. The team is currently focused on building a solid foundation for the spin-off before thinking about allusions and references to the original series.
In the meantime, season 4 is coming soon, more precisely on June 13th.
