Animal Crossing: New Horizons It is more alive than ever with millions of users enjoying its friendly world, however, there is a controversy that although it had previously ravaged the community, with the new installment it has increased: that of the "time travelers", users who advance the console date to skip the set waiting times for the game, one of the main mechanics of it that limits how much we can advance day after day on our islands.
So, after much debate, thanks to a recent interview by The Washington Post Aya Kyogoku and Hisashi Nogami about the title, we have the official position of the creatives on this matter. Specifically, we have been able to know that although it's not something they recommend doing (in addition to carrying its punishment, causing some flowers to wilt), they do not consider it an act so serious as to be considered "cheating":
We believe that for players to be able to enjoy the title for a long time and to enjoy with their friends and family, playing without using time travel would be the best option. Still, measures like adding seasonal events through updates were not motivated to eradicate time travel or anything like that. Animal Crossing is a game that users can play and enjoy throughout the year.
