I’ve been using the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra for a while now, and it’s a great phone, but something in the camera app is irritating me.
I was sitting in my local pub, taking photos of my beer as I often do. My wife and daughter joined me, so I started taking selfies of us with the Xiaomi 14 – only something seemed strange in the shots.
After a minute of flipping through them, I realized everything was going in the wrong direction. The chimney was on the wrong side of the pub and the writing on my t-shirt was backwards. I don’t want my photos to be those of a mirror world and probably neither do you.
I’m used to the preview on the screen being a mirror image, but it’s common for phones to flip the photo when you look at it and look at it again later.
Of course, it’s no big deal to flip them with software after you’ve taken your shots – check out our guide How to Flip a Photo on Android – but you don’t want to do that for every selfie you take, so here’s how to fix it . he.
- Open the camera app on your Xiaomi 14 (or 14 Ultra) and tap the small downward-pointing arrow at the top to open a menu.
