In a little over two weeks the Xbox Game Showcase will take place, a new Microsoft event where we will discover the brand’s news. A show about which little is known, beyond the presence of the new Call of Duty, where Avowed, the new game from Obsidian, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the next game from MachineGames, will play a major role.

Concerning Obsidian’s new RPG, it seems that in addition to being able to reveal its release date, it would have another surprise in store for us: a more than obvious visual improvement.

Avowed would improve its technical part thanks to its passage to EU 5.3

And all this comes because the study would have decided to change the development of the game to Unreal Engine 5.3, the latest version of the Epic engine. A change that would not, a priori, mean a delay in its launch, especially because They had help from the Coalition, one of the expertises of said engine.

The information comes from the hand of Jez Corden, of Windows Central, which states that the studio made this decision in order to refine and improve technical and graphic performance on Xbox Series and PC. So aspects such as lighting, rich world details, better overall fluidity would particularly benefit…In short, everything with the aim of better representing the world of Avowed.
