With the hours we spend in front of the computer, whether for work or leisure, having a good ergonomic chair that adapts well to your back This not only has an impact on comfort, but also on health. We analyze the BS12 Pro from FlexiSpot, which, due to its quality, design and functionality, is a great option for everyone.
FlexiSpot brings us the new BS12 Pro model, a model with a multitude of adjustment options for the back, seat, headrest and armrests that make it the perfect chair for almost everyone, whatever its size. To this we must add a modern, elegant and discreet designwithout the stridency of classic “gaming” chairs, and good quality materials.
The first thing you find when opening the box is the disassembled chair. But you don’t have to worry at all, since the assembly is very simple and you don’t need any tools, since it comes with everything you need. Secure the backrest to the seat with three screws, the two armrests to the seat with three more screws each, the wheels to the support and the headrest. Just about 10 minutes and you will have the chair ready to use. Everything is perfectly packaged in the box and protected, and the instructions are very clear so that even the most clumsy person can assemble it without difficulty, although it is recommended that another person helps you align the pieces correctly because they are heavy.
Materials used in the chair include plastic, steel and polyester. The finishes are quite good, with well padded armrests, the seat and backrest with quality material, breathable and easy to clean, and wheels that not only turn gently but barely make any noise but also protect the floor, even the most delicate wooden ones. The fabric of the chair is breathable and easy to care for, quite soft to the touch. It is available in two colors (black and gray), the gray model being the one you can see in the photos and video.
One of the details that I like the most is chair controls, much more refined and easier to use than traditional levers that I had until now on my chairs. The seat height is adjusted by pressing the first button in the group of three on the right side. The central button is actually a lever that, when lowered, allows you to freely recline the backrest, and when raised, it locks the backrest in the position in which you have placed it. The third button is for adjusting the depth of the seat, when you raise it you can slide the seat forward or backward, and when you lower it you lock it. The rotary control just below allows you to adjust the resistance of the backrest to tilting. My personal setting leaves the backrest free to tilt but with great resistance, so that it only tilts if I force myself to lean back.
The lumbar support is easily adjusted with your hands while seated, so the adjustment can be made precisely. It’s a little too noticeable for my liking, but I tend to prefer reinforcements that others find uncomfortable, so most people will probably appreciate that it’s so subtle. You can also adjust the armrests in height and depth, you can even rotate them horizontally with three different positions. Finally, you can adjust the headrest, the only “but” I have on the chair in terms of quality. The system is somewhat rudimentary. But at least The headrest is really useful, not like that of other chairs which is purely aesthetic. When you’re leaning back, I find it helpful and comfortable.
The chair is very comfortable, I really like how quiet it is, no metallic noises or creaks, even the wheels turn silently. I also really like the number of adjustments it allows, so I can use it when I am 178cm tall, my eldest son is 190cm tall and my youngest daughter is 135cm tall.. The adjustments are quick and everyone really appreciated it compared to the other models I had (and some still have) at home. I think the design of the controls is great, different from anyone else I’ve tried, more accessible and nicer looking. and after several weeks of use and days with several hours of continuous use, I can say that it is really comfortable.
Editor’s opinion
Without placing it in the category of “premium” chairs, this BS12 Pro model from FlexiSpot features a modern design, not premium but good quality materials, and a perfect number of adjustments to adapt to almost any size. And for its price, I think it’s a great option for anyone who wants a quality chair that’s very comfortable and will last a long time. You can currently purchase it from FlexiSpot (link) for $499, with $50 off if you use code BD10 until May 31.
