There are almost as many cell phones in Europe as there are people, so it is understandable that many people own more than one cell phone or multiple Android-based devices. For example, we can have an Android tablet, Wear OS watch, Android TV and much more. Managing all these devices can be complicated.
The great advantage of using the Google platform is that all these devices can connect to each other; We can see the same photos if we have saved them in Google Photos, for example. However, there are still some aspects of this experience that need improvement, and this week Google fixed one of the most common issues: app management.
And one of the biggest inconveniences occurs when have the same applications on all our devices. In recent years, Google has implemented functions that help, such as automatically installing our applications the first time we configure a device; Additionally, Google Play allows you to choose the device on which we install an app directly from the store.
And now Google Play also allows uninstall apps from other devices remotely; In fact, we do not need to have the phone in front of us to delete any of the applications that it has installed in its memory. This is something that will be extremely useful in many situations; For example, if we do not want to move from one device to another to delete the applications we do not want, we can do it directly from the mobile.
It’s a very simple process. All we have to do is open Google Play, then click on our profile picture and “Manage apps and devices”. On the screen that will open, we must enter the “Manage” tab at the top. Here a list of applications that we have installed on the device we are currently using will appear.
The new thing is that now we can click on the “This device” button, and a list of our Android devices will appear, as well as a list of uninstalled applications at the end. Just click on the device in question, like our tablet for example. Then the list will move to apps installed on this device; If we select an application, we can click on the trash button to delete it remotely.
As usual, this novelty is gradually reaching all users, so it is possible that we do not have it available yet. However, tests carried out by EL ESPAÑOL – El Androide Libre show that the function is already reaching Spanish users, so we will not have to wait long.
