Sony’s latest State of Play livestream was packed with new game announcements and updates for everything PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR 2 – and a bit of PlayStation content for PC too. PlayStation fans got a look at a new game featuring the lovable Astro Bot, a new Dynasty Warriors, a release date for the Silent Hill 2 Remake and confirmation that some games will make the jump from PC to PS5 (and vice versa).

Concord receives first gameplay
When Sony demonstrated Unity At last year’s PlayStation Showcase, we didn’t know what to expect from Firewalk Studios’ multiplayer PvP FPS. Now we do, as Sony and Firewalk showed off a cinematic trailer and in-engine gameplay of the colorful 5v5 competitive hero shooter starring a band of alien adventurer misfits. Unity will be released on August 23rd for PS5 and PC.
God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC
The latest adventure of Kratos and Atreus makes it to the Windows PC this year. God of War Ragnarökoriginally released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, will receive its long-awaited Windows port on September 19, with all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect from Sony’s PC effort, including support for super-ultrawide displays, as well as Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1, and Intel XESS 1.3. Ragnarok on the PC the game will also be included Valhalla Additional content.
Astro Bot is back in a new PS5 game
The star of Astro’s Playroom And Astro Bot Rescue Mission returns for a brand new game coming to PlayStation 5 later this year from developer team Asobi. It simply says: Astro Botand how Astro’s Playroomit’s filled with a love of all things PlayStation. Astro can transform into PlayStation’s most famous characters, including Kratos, Aloy, and Nathan Drake, and even a PlayStation 5 console. Astro Bot will be released on September 6th for the PS5.
Marvel Rivals is coming to PS5 (and Xbox)
The team-based hero shooter from Marvel and NetEase featuring the heroes and villains of the Marvel universe is coming to the PS5. Marvel Rivals is currently in closed testing on PC, with console versions scheduled to launch later this year. A console beta test will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X in July.
First gameplay of Monster Hunter Wilds
Capcom and Sony gave us a new look at Monster Hunter Worldthe open-world successor to Monster Hunter: Worldin a new gameplay-focused trailer.
Silent Hill 2 remake release date
Konami and Bloober Team have released a remake of the horror classic from the early 2000s Silent Hill 2 now has a release date. Silent Hill 2 will be released on October 8th for PS5. A spooky new trailer shows what to expect from the new edition.
Dynasty Warriors returns
Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have not released a new main entry in the historic hack-and-slash series Dynasty Warriors since 2018. That will soon change with Dynasty Warriors: Originswhich will be released for PS5 in 2025. (It will also be released for Windows PC and Xbox Series X.)
Path of Exile 2 is coming to PS5
Grinding Gear Games Path of Exile 2, The next version of the studio’s free-to-play action RPG will be released for both PS5 and PC. The alternative to Diablo4 will be years after the original Path of Exilethat sends players into the dark world of Wraeclast, where they try to put an end to a spreading corruption. Early Access launches sometime this fall on PS5.
Until Dawn remastered
The interactive horror game from Supermassive Games Until dawn is coming new and improved to PS5 and Windows PC this fall. At State of Play, we took a look at what remastering studio Ballistic Moon added to the 2015 original.
Where winds meet
You may remember Where winds meet from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, where the ambitious wuxia-style open-world action RPG was unveiled. Where winds meet is now confirmed for PS5 and a new gameplay trailer shows what it has to offer.
Infinity Nikki
Open-world dress-up adventure Infinity Nikki is coming to PS5 – a beta test is expected soon – and lets players explore an idyllic fantasy world with their furry friend Momo. Think Breath of the Wildbut with really cute outfits.
Ballad of Antara announced
The developer behind it Pascal’s Wager revealed his new game, Ballad of Antaraa very ambitious Soulslike action game coming to PS5 in 2025. According to the game’s official description, “a faraway land is on the verge of being lost to an ancient conflict and the invasion that follows. Embark on a perilous journey, seeking out massive divine creatures to reclaim the world’s twisted and lost foundations.”
Alien: Rogue Incursion revealed
Alien: Rogue Incursion is an “intense single-player action horror game” – and the first alien game designed specifically for virtual reality – coming to PlayStation VR 2 this holiday season from developer Survios.
Behemoth gameplay
Skydance colossus promises an adventure through strange, otherworldly environments and battles against giant monsters, with “weighty VR combat and lifelike physics.” PSVR 2 owners can test these claims for themselves when colossus will be released later this year.
