More information has surfaced about the many remakes SEGA is working on, which were announced during last year’s The Game Awards. What we do know now is that SEGA is developing full remakes of Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio using Epic Games state-of-the-art Unreal Engine 5 and that both of these projects are being overseen by a number of original staff members. Midori says that SEGA has planned to launch a Jet Set Radio remake in 2026 and a Crazy Taxi remake in 2027. That’s not all, as both Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio will also receive service versions of the games, though they will thankfully launch after the remake. Midori also says that the Golden Ax remake was supposed to launch last year, though plans have apparently changed.
