XDefiant leak suggests future factions could include Assassin’s Creed and… Rabbids?

and, Assassins, Creed, factions, future, include, Leak, Rabbids, suggests, XDefiant

XDefiant is the latest live-action shooter to be revealed, and according to leakers, there are some factions coming to the game.

After several delays, XDefiant (formerly known as Tom Clancy’s XDefiant) finally launched late last month, and so far, it seems to be going well – both Fran and Connor think so, although the latter questions how long it will last with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. A key selling point of XDefiant is that the various factions in the game are based on other established Ubisoft franchises such as Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division, Far Cry, and Watch Dogs. It’s not hard to guess that more factions will be added eventually, but data miner and leaker AgainTX recently shared some insights into where the game might be headed next (as spotted by Kotaku).

Some of the more boring datamining finds include things like gunshot sounds and names, many of which have now been copyrighted (indicating their legitimacy), but they also appear to have shared what new factions will be coming to the game. These new factions include Assassins from Assassin’s Creed, Agents from Ghost Recon Breakpoint, members of GSG9 from Rainbow Six Siege, and the Road Rangers from Far Cry New Dawn. There are also assets like map and character renders and more that further show evidence of these additions, but again, a lot of this seems to have been around since the copyright claims.

What’s most bizarre, though, is that there are a few factions coming to the game in year two, assuming it gets to that stage: Rabbids and The Crew. Yep, those annoying bunnies from the original Rayman and… uh, car games. I’m not quite sure exactly how these two factions will work, but at least they’ll be a little different, right? I guess? Who knows if these two factions will ever make it to the game, but in the meantime, here’s hoping Ubisoft fixes this cheating issue.
