We recommend one of the best mystery and thriller series on Apple TV+
The weekend is coming and, with it, the best opportunity to discover new Apple TV+ series. However, this weekend also saw the long-awaited UEFA Champions League final, which pitted Real Madrid against Borussia Dortmund and brought many viewers to watch the football match streaming on iPhone and iPad. But we are sure that you will also find space for watch your favorite series.
Apple TV+ offers a wide variety of content in its catalog with series and films capable of competing with the best hits of other platforms like Netflix. But very few of them are able to surpass cinematic works like “Stranger Things”, “You” or “Dark”, among others. Today we are going to recommend one of the Apple TV+ series which, given the necessary conditions, would be able to dethrone or surpass Netflix’s greatest hits.
We are talking about “Silo”, a mystery series that offers us good reasons to enjoy the mystery that surrounds its plot and which has superlative potential. If you haven’t seen this Apple TV+ series, you can’t go another day without giving it a chance. You do not regret!
‘Silo’, probably the best series on Apple TV+
The story of “Silo” – we leave you the trailer below – concerns a gigantic underground silo that houses the last hopes of survival of the human species after a terrible apocalyptic event on the planet. Earth is uninhabitable, so survivors must live their lives in a society established underground.
Try to avoid all the spoilers possible, we can say that ‘Silo’ has all the necessary elements to become the best mystery series of the year: decor, costumes, narration, photography…His plot keeps you in suspense from the first minutehooking you and gradually immersing you in the story of each of its characters.
‘Silo’ has a superb cast, in which we would like to highlight the sublime performance of its protagonist Rebecca Ferguson (“Dune”, “Life”, “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation”) and the capricious personality of his character; and the great performance of Tim Robbins (“Perpetual Chain”, “War of the Worlds”), which is always a pleasure to see him on stage.
The ‘Silo’ series consists of a season of 10 episodes of approximately 45 minutes and the second season is expected to air this year, 2024. Filming began in mid-2023 and no release date has been announced yet.
Personally, this is one of my favorite series on Apple TV+. While it is true that I have come across quite a few post-apocalyptic series on streaming platforms, but None of them give you the level of intrigue of “Silo”. Maybe it’s a matter of taste, like everything in this life, but for me the second season of this series can surpass the big hits of Netflix and other platforms.
