Only a few hours left until the Summer Game Fest 2024 starts and goes into overdrive. And there is a lot to see and do, because in addition to the Keighley show, Microsoft, Ubisoft and Devolver are also there.
There used to be a physical E3, but the games fair has now been replaced by virtual events as part of the Summer Game Fest, which was launched by Geoff Keighley. What hasn’t changed is that many publishers use June to make new announcements or new material on games that have already been announced.
And so this year, around the big show with Geoff Keighley, there are a number of other live streams with exciting topics, most notably this year’s Xbox Games Showcase followed by Call of Duty Direct, where Black Ops 6 will be presented for the first time. Or the Ubisoft Forward, where Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed: Shadows can be expected, among other things.

So there are some long nights ahead. Apart from that, things will continue from Monday onwards, as Microsoft has already announced some deep dives into the showcase titles that are due to be released over the course of the coming week.
The main event is of course the Summer Game Fest 2024 with Geoff Keighley, which is expected to last about two hours this year. Keighley has already indicated that it will be less about new announcements and more about updates and new material on announced titles that are due to be released in the foreseeable future.
