The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is getting support from Toronto, as has been officially confirmed.
Development of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is gaining momentum again. Around two years ago, Ubisoft withdrew the studios in Mumbai and Pune from the project and handed over control to Ubisoft Montreal, where the original was once developed. Since then, things have been relatively quiet around the title, but with a recent announcement, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time seems to be becoming a little more tangible again.
In any case, Ubisoft Toronto announced via X/Twitter that they are joining the development of the game. They are very excited to turn back time and incorporate creativity, expertise and the latest technological achievements into the title.
The post also states that this is being done in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal, so the studio has not been stripped of the project.
