Yesterday, players of Destiny 2 collectively launched the game and excitedly experienced Final shape The expansion was released on launch day. While these Guardians were eager to witness The Witness’s defeat firsthand, they saw little progress as error messages and server issues plagued the game for a full day afterwards.
The error messages are labeled CURRANT, CABBAGE, and WEASEL, and point to different issues. For most affected players, the error message either notifies them that they can’t connect to the server, kicks them from the game, or blocks them from accessing the game entirely. Other errors include kicking players out of story cutscenes, cutting them off from the narrative beats in the game’s climactic ending.

Destiny 2 Official Technical Help X Account Since launch, we have been releasing updates to inform players that we are investigating and working on fixes. However, as of this writing, these issues are still occurring, and the latest update informs the public that the investigation into the root cause of these issues is still ongoing.
As you can imagine, this has caused a backlash. The Final Form expansion is currently receiving mixed reviews on Steam, with many players taking to the public space to vent their frustrations. This is ultimately a tragedy for Bungie, as the game has only fallen 2,000 players shy of its all-time high in the last 24 hours. It’s also obviously a disaster for players, as they’ve been eager to get in on the action since the expansion was announced.
First impressions are always important, and having bugs at launch can have a lasting impact on a game’s success. Hopefully, the Bungie team can fix the issue soon so everyone can start playing as planned.
