Boom. A new War Bond is coming to Hellraiser 2, and it brings with it the game’s first vehicle customization. Viper Commanders is the name of the next Care Pack, and it marks the beginning of a new approach from Arrowhead to the delivery of this type of content.

Yep, stop downloading mods that let you wear Fallout’s T-60 power armor while killing robots, here’s some new official gear you can get your hands on soon. And hey, depending on how that hole turns out, you might need it.

First up is the next War Bond, Viper Commanders. It’s out on June 13 and is designed to let you live out your “jungle combat dreams.” Basically, think of every Vietnam War movie you’ve ever seen – fit for a game that’s known for having its own robotic Vietnam in the form of Malevelon Creek.

In terms of primary weapons, it comes with the AR-23A Liberator carbine and the SG-22 Bushwhacker, a three-barreled sawed-off shotgun. The armor is the PH-9 Predator (which comes with a beret so you can channel your inner French philosopher while killing bugs) and the PH-202 Twigsnapper, both of which allow you to carry weapons (in multiple senses and come with the Peak Physique passive skill).

Aside from some practical stuff, the other big headline is “New looks for your Hellpod, Exoskeleton, and Pelican-1 inspired by classic woodland and tiger stripe camouflage patterns,” which is the vehicle customization I was referring to.

In announcing this War Contract, Arrowhead also provided some information on how it will proceed in the future. In short, it is “slowing down the pace of releases” to allow more time to polish content, and is focusing more on quality in creating smart item War Contracts that cluster around specific themes, rather than “simply adding more stuff, which results in weapons that feel redundant and uninteresting.”

Well, that’s it for now. Please be sure to follow us regularly to learn about the progress of the Hellstalker 2 Galaxy War.
