The developers of Fallout: London have confirmed a new release date for the game-sized mod, and it looks like it’s coming very soon. Yes, while the exact date has been confirmed, the team has decided not to fully reveal it just yet, to keep us all on our toes.
If you’re not in the know, Fallout: London is a complete conversion mod for Fallout 4 that will let us explore a post-apocalyptic version of the British capital and include new factions and quests. The mod has been stuck in purgatory after the next-gen update for Fallout 4 forced its creators to abandon its original release date of April 23. But now it’s different!

Yesterday afternoon, the FOLON team got everyone moving with a tweet: “We have a new date. Stay safe and remember. Space out.” This naturally sparked a lot of interest from those who have been waiting with bated breath for the mod to arrive, and project lead Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter provided some more information about where the team is located via the Fallout: London Discord server.
“I see you’re all excited,” Carter wrote. “We — the whole team — have a new date. It’s soon. Not your typical ‘SoonTM’ mod meme answer, but really soon. Another I to DOT, another T and you’ll be able to get your hands on Fallout: London. Previously we didn’t know when it would be released, now we expect it to be in a few days/weeks. Stay tuned.”
After releasing the yet-to-be-announced announcement, with the actual date still only being revealed internally for now, Carter and the team faced a backlash from the server’s fans, who were either eager to know exactly what it was right away or believed that the mod would drop as soon as the issues caused by the Fallout 4 update were fully resolved.

“Right now, when searching for Fallout: London, people are complaining about no information or wrong information, like we’re dead, or it’s suddenly delayed, or some other bullshit,” Carter said, explaining why they chose to reveal the new release date in this way. “So, we’ve announced something interesting for you all to read.”
He also clarified: “Initially, after the delay, we didn’t have any plans to release it because a lot of content outside of the project needed to be updated. It was definitely put on hold for a while. And now, we have a new internal release date.”
Well, that’s it. Calm down, take a sip of Nuka-Cola, and soon you’ll be traveling to post-apocalyptic Britain.
If you want to know more about how to get the mod when it drops, the answer is through GOG.com, the CD Projekt-owned storefront, rather than a site like Nexus Mods – more details on how and why this is the case can be found here .
