The seventh installment of the classic strategy game officially announced.
During the Summer Games Fest 2024, a first look was presented Civilization VII, the next title in the iconic strategy franchise. At once it was confirmed that it will arrive in 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, including MAC and Linux, as we could see in a subsequent press release.
Sid Meier, the creator of the series, shared a few words about how this game is the culmination of many years of work. “I’m incredibly excited for fans to see Civilization VIIa game that represents the culmination of three decades of innovation and refinement in strategy.”
The trailer was a teaser that only showed the cover of the game and some general images, leaving us fans almost there and wanting more. Meier explained that the full gameplay reveal will take place in August.
Being the seventh main title in the franchise, Civilization VII It is also developed by the legendary team at Firaxis Games. One of the big surprises that this game presents is its already “backwards compatibility” with previous generation consoles, being playable on PS4, Xbox One and even the Nintendo Switch.
For now we have to wait a few more weeks for the gameplay reveal.
