Very little remains for the next Samsung Unpacked, the event in which the company will present its new range of products; It should be held on July 10 in Paris. Although Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied it, the new event is an open secret within the industry, as are the new features it will present.
Now, a new leak posted by Evan Blass has revealed exactly what Samsung will be showcasing at Unpacked; and although all products have been leaked (or have already been advanced by Samsung itself), it is a confirmation of the company’s direction.
The leak occurred in the form of images modified with a filter to avoid seeing details, but the shape of the products leaves no doubt.
According to this leak, Samsung Unpacked will focus on three types of products: foldable phones, smart watches and smart rings. For starters, the image of the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 was already leaked last week, and this gives more validity to this leak.
It is confirmed that the foldables will adopt the design of the rest of Samsung mobile phones, with flat edges this will be accompanied by a change in proportions, particularly in the Z Fold.
This will result in a more usable external screen with a more traditional shape, compared to the narrow screen the Galaxy Z Fold normally had. However, the size of the mobile will not change too much as a result, thanks to thinner edges on the screens which will make better use of the available space.
The star of Samsung Unpacked will be the Galaxy Ring, which appears in three finishes in the leaked image: silver, black and gold. A lawsuit filed by Samsung against Oura revealed that the company intends to start selling the smart ring next August, at least in the United States; This would fit with a presentation in July, which will likely also mark the start of bookings.
The Galaxy Ring is one of Samsung’s most anticipated new devices. It will have all types of health-related sensors and can be the substitute for the smart watch that many were waiting for. But that doesn’t mean that Samsung is going to abandon smartwatches, quite the contrary.
And the Galaxy Watch line will receive significant changes; The base models will be joined by an edgier Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra with a new design, as well as a cheaper Galaxy Watch FE. These two models don’t appear in the leaked images, so it’s unclear if they will eventually appear in Unpacked, or if their release will happen later in the year.
