It had been rumored for a while, and now it’s official: the metal legends of Metallica are finding their way to the island of Fortnite.
It has been hinted at in the rumor mill for a long time, but now it has been officially confirmed by Epic Games: The rock legends of Metallica are actually finding their way into the long-running and successful title Fortnite.
Metallica will not only rock the stage at Fortnite Festival, but will also be the first band ever to headline all Fortnite events. Starting tomorrow, Metallica-inspired gameplay will also be available in LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and the classic Battle Royale.
The focus is initially on a new music experience called “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.”, in which you can experience six favorite songs created by Magnopus using the Unreal Engine. The event will take place at six times over two days, with the times as follows:

In Fortnite Festival, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo will be the new icons of Season 4. There is also a new way to play with the PvP Battle stage, where 16 players play a set of four songs, but only one can leave the stage as the winner. Season 4 starts tomorrow and ends on August 16th at 6:00 p.m.
