Jurassic Park: Survival It was one of the surprises announced during the last gala of the Game rewards. This new surprise in the Jurassic saga comes from Saber Interactive, and will be distributed by IGN. The game will be a solo adventure where we will have to face the “dynohazards” who will hunt us down on Isla Nublar.
As expected, in this new game we will once again cross emblematic places from the original film such as the Visitor Center or the most famous T-Rex Enclosure. But not everything will stay in places already known to everyone. Other facilities and locations on the island that have never been seen before are also incorporated into the adventure.
Jurassic Park: Survival revisited on Isla Nublar
Through the following statements, John Melchior, executive director of experiences and products at Universal, hinted that everything that happens in this title will not be based on already known locations:
We worked with all of our stakeholders on what the island would have looked like after the events of the film. This includes the areas we all love, like the Visitor Center and the T-Rex enclosure. But also those we didn’t see, the things that weren’t part of the route or that were cut off by the storm. Those on the island were supposed to spend the night there, so what does that mean? What would they have seen and where would they have stayed if everything had gone according to plan? This is where we start. Because the island is as much a part of the story as the characters and the dinosaurs.
Also, Oliver Hollis-Lecik, creative director of Saber Interactive confirmed that the game will have new protagonists. Among them Maya, the protagonist of the game. And if that wasn’t enough, When the creative director was asked about the appearance of new species in this episode, he dropped the famous line from the film: Life moves on… So it wouldn’t be surprising if we saw species never seen before in the saga. Along with all this information, Oliver Hollis-Lecik provided the following statements:
The island is full of different types of terrain, many of which are quite steep. In some cases, the player will have to be careful and think, plotting routes in advance. There will also be times when the player must move very carefully to avoid attracting the attention of certain predators. Maya, the protagonist, is neither superhuman nor an action hero. There are real risks around every corner and the player will need to demonstrate a mixture of intelligence, courage and patience to survive the island’s many challenges.
What do you think of these statements? Do you want to know more about this new game? Jurassic Park: Survival It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC on a date yet to be determined. As always, if you want to know more about news like this, be sure to stop by here in the Xbox space.
