Xbox is updating its consoles, but more broadly its entire ecosystem. There are a whole host of new features in the program, including several changes that are eagerly awaited by users.
Summer is approaching and Summer Game Fest 2024 is behind us. A busy period, especially for Microsoft and its Xbox division. The green brand actually made a lot of announcements during its Xbox Showcase, which was described by many as one of the best conferences ever for the company. And definitely the best of this year. Then it’s not bad! And aside from the announcements, it’s the Xbox Series that benefits from new features via a brand new update that brings several changes and features.
An update for the Xbox Series adds several new features
Xbox Series players in particular are entitled to new options for configuring their background. Previously, you had to choose between a dynamic wallpaper or an illustration of one of your favorite games. Now you can put both at the same time. It will automatically roll over between your preferred options. Pretty cool customization. New options are also added on the Wi-Fi side, which is improved here for greater convenience with an expansion of the number of saved networks and an overall improvement in the accessibility of the settings.
Always accessible, you can now manage your subscriptions directly from your console in your account settings, an option that Xbox Series users have long requested.
Still the Xbox Series, but this time the controller has had its firmware updated, with various improvements and fixes to optimize the user experience on several levels: gameplay, connectivity, etc.
The rest of the ecosystem is also available on PC and for cloud gaming
Finally, Xbox is updating its PC and cloud applications with new interface features but also additional options. In particular, you can more easily sort games by category (Xbox Games Studios, EA Play or Riot Games, etc.). The cloud is the game data that can be managed manually and more easily thanks to the Xbox Cloud Gaming application, currently in beta.
