A new trailer for the Fable comeback was also shown at the Xbox Games Showcase, but no date has been announced. A renowned industry expert is now providing a more concrete assessment.
The remake of the classic role-playing game Fable was finally shown again at the Xbox Games Showcase. The game was given a trailer as well as a very rough release date: 2025. Unfortunately, Microsoft did not give any more details, but a renowned industry expert and insider may now shed more light on the release.
In this case, we mean Tom Warren from The Vergewho is considered to be well connected in the gaming industry and is often right with his information. Citing Warren as a source, Insider Gaming Now, Microsoft is planning to release Fable in 2025, but not at the beginning of the new year. Rather, the internal schedule currently envisages a release in the October to December 2025 time frame. Fable would thus hit the shelves in time for the high-sales Christmas season and make the Xbox Series X/S unsafe.
The new Fable is a reboot of the classic franchise that debuted on the original Xbox in 2004. The new installment in the series will feature a completely new story as well as new characters that you haven’t encountered in the series before.
In addition to a version for the Xbox Series X/S, a game version of the new Fable is also planned for the PC. Furthermore, the title will be available directly from the release day via Game Pass in the game subscription, as you are used to from all first-party games from Xbox Game Studios. An official confirmation of the specific release period from insider circles is still pending.
