Surprise! A brand new Mario Party was announced during a Nintendo Direct and suffice it to say, the party is about to get crazier than ever with this installment.
The Nintendo Switch hasn’t said its last word yet. Big N had a few cartridges under its belt that the publisher managed to keep secret until the Nintendo Direct. Zelda will therefore have the right to her own game, Mario and Luigi will team up again in a new episode, and the whole squad will be ready to break friendships in a new Mario Party.
A new Mario Party announced
The rumor circulated without much weight, but it has now been confirmed. Mario and his friends will soon return to take part in a whole series of new mini-games in Mario Party Jamboree. No remaster or remake, this time we are talking about a new game that will accompany the Nintendo Switch in its final moments. The party promises to be bigger and bolder than ever. The story takes place on a huge island, where most of the games in the history of the series take place.
Five new sets have been created for the occasion. Mario Party Jamboree is a shopping mall where players can travel from floor to floor and where it will be possible to buy stars at half price with in-game currency… at least if you arrive before your competitors. Another will be directly inspired by Mario Kart, where a special cube allows you to attack the second and advance a maximum of 40 spaces, while another will also put Bowser’s lair in the spotlight. Two other sets from previous episodes will return for the occasion, including Mario’s Rainbow Castle.
Mario Party Jamboree will therefore be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 17, 2024. You can also take a first look at the new mini-games in the trailer for the game:
